Finca Brumas del Zurqui is a historic, fourth-generation specialty coffee estate and family-run micromill located in San Isidro, Heredia, in the Central Valley of Costa Rica. Run by Juan Ramon Alvarado, the 125-year old farm produces high-end, award-winning specialty micro-lots with a strong focus on ecological conservation.
The variety of beans used for this coffee are Geisha. A highly prized and globally coveted variety of the Arabica species, derived from the Gesha region of Ethiopia. The Geisha tree is a low-yielding, delicate varietal that also has its own distinct qualities. The roasted coffee humbly boasts delicate floral, tea-like characteristics.
